Presentations should be targeted to an audience of senior and mid-level technical government personnel with program and purchasing authority for implementing large-scale defenses against DDoS and worm attacks. Each vendor will present on either April 13 or 14. Each day will have a morning and afternoon session consisting of 20-minute vendor presentations followed by a 90-minute demonstration period where vendors will meet individually and demonstrate their technologies to attending government personnel. Companies are expected to fully demonstrate and discuss proprietary aspects of the technologies.

Submissions
Presentation packages should be submitted to DHS via email to CyberForum@dhs.gov by February 21, 2005. Presentation packages should not be submitted to this site. Each submission should be delivered in a standard format, such as a PDF file, MSWord document, or PowerPoint document. The submission should concisely address the following points of interest:
The submission should be very concise. The DHS anticipates a strong response to the call for submissions and will review each submission and will invite approximately 15 companies to the Forum event. Please observe the following length limits for submissions:
Selection Criteria
The submissions will be evaluated on the following criteria (in priority order):
Invitations to Present
Vendors will be notified by March 21 if they have been selected to present. Invitations will be extended to approximately 15 vendors. Selected vendors will be provided with instructions for online registration and payment. Details and a presentation schedule will be announced after vendors have been selected.
On March 31, selected vendors will have the opportunity to participate in a Web seminar on how to best present their product(s) to a government audience and how to work with the government as a customer.
Vendor Responsibilities
Vendor participation will require a nonrefundable attendance fee of $100 per company. The fee covers meals and organizational costs for as many as three company attendees. Vendors are expected to pay for their travel, hotel, and other related expenses.
Each vendor is responsible for certifying in advance of the Forum that its presentation or demonstration has been approved by all sponsoring or funding agencies.
